Meurs, Mieke - Centre for Global Social Policy

Mieke Meurs is Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at American University in Washington, DC, where she is co-director of the Program for Gender Analysis in Economics. She teaches heterodox microeconomics, gender analysis in economics and political economy. She has written extensively on care and gender bargaining power, as well as on the behavior of smallholder households and worker cooperatives, mainly focusing on former socialist economies.
