Martha Melesse is a Senior Program Specialist at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), focusing on promoting inclusive and sustainable economies. She co-leads the multi-funder Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) initiative, whose core objective includes identifying scalable solutions for reducing and redistributing women’s unpaid care burden in East Africa. Martha holds a PhD in public policy from Carleton University in Ottawa.
