Elizabeth Kwan is a Senior Researcher for the Canadian Labour Congress, which represents 3 million unionized workers in every sector across Canada including health care, long-term care, education and child care. Elizabeth brings considerable knowledge and experience working with the intersectionality of inequalities as well as human and labour rights. Over the years, Elizabeth has focussed on migrant workers’ rights and global labour migration. At the International Labour Organization, she worked on Recommendation 205: Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience, and the general discussion on labour migration. Elizabeth currently serves as an Executive member and Gender Champion for another SSHRC research project.
