Donna R. Gabaccia, is Professor of History, Emerita, University of Toronto. She previously held the Rudolph J. Vecoli Chair as Director of the Immigration History Research Center at the University of Minnesota. She has written or edited fourteen books on international migration. Gender and International Migration, co-authored with Katharine Donato, received an honorable mention from the International Migration Section of the American Sociological Association. Her 2012 book Foreign Relations: American Immigration in Global Perspective won the Theodore Saloutos Prize of the Immigration and Ethnic History Society. She is currently General Editor of the Cambridge University History of Global Migrations (forthcoming).
