Dr. Monica Boyd, F.R.S.C. is the Canada Research Chair in Immigration, Inequality and Public Policy and Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto (St. George), which she joined in 2001. She is past president of Academy II of the Royal Society, the Canadian Population Society, the Canadian Sociological Association, chair of the International Migration section of the American Sociological Association and she has twice been elected to the Board of the Population Association of America.
