CGSP joins Global Alliance for Care

GAC membership includes governments, civil society, union associations, the philanthropic sector, international organizations and academia with a view to implementing the care agenda from the local to the global level.

The Centre for Global Social Policy (CGSP) has joined Global Alliance for Care (GAC), a global multi-stakeholder community that facilitates and fosters spaces for collective action, advocacy, communication, and learning about care. Co-convened by the Government of Mexico through the National Institute of Women (INMUJERES) and UN Women, GAC seeks to establish the care society “as a new transformative paradigm to promote sustainable development, gender justice, women’s autonomy, and the well-being of all persons.”

CGSP admires GAC’s intersectoral, multi-stakeholder, and feminist approach to advancing the care agenda at all levels of global society. The network will strengthen our care-focused knowledge mobilization efforts and enhance our research impact, and we will use our platforms to share and amplify the important work that other GAC members are doing.
