Otgontugs Banzragch joins Mongolian parliamentary working group on care legislation

Otgontugs Banzragch is the Mongolia team’s principal investigator for the Care Economies in Context project. On December 30, Dr. Banzragch presented research findings to a Mongolian parliamentary working group. In her presentation, Dr. Banzragch shared insights from her team’s efforts to map out Mongolia’s care economy, which draw heavily from the results of a 2019 Time Use Survey.

The presentation was well-received. Afterwards, the chair invited Dr. Banzragch to join the working group, and Dr. Banzragch accepted. She now joins researchers and policymakers from the Ministry of Health, as well as the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Welfare of Mongolia, as they work on developing new care-focused legislation.
