Research Network: Domestic Worker Rights

In the first week of November, a number of CGSP researchers, collaborators and partners participated in the 2014 Metropolis International conference. I had the pleasure of presenting in a session organized by Sabrina Marchetti, sociologist and activist for domestic workers rights. She provided a provocative and stunning account of circular migration—temporary and repetitive movement of a migrant worker between host and home areas. The panel also included impactful presentations by Svigir Beba, Sylvie Paré, and Marianna Siino. I encourage you to visit the websites of Sabrina and the RN-Domestic Worker Rights.
