Joshua Rodriguez Research Assistant University of Toronto
Joshua is an undergraduate student majoring in Public Policy, with two accompanying minors in Political Science and Psychology. His academic interests lie in applying empirical and theoretical models to determine the effectiveness of social policy, and analyzing the state’s role in the provision of public goods. After flying out of the metaphorical undergraduate nest, Joshua plans on pursuing a Masters degree in Public Policy, leading to eventual work in policy analysis. As a summer Research Assistant in the Gender, Migration, and Care project, Joshua is working on the knowledge mobilization scan, which involves planning how to effectively present the project’s compiled research to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, Joshua is working on an environmental scan to comparatively assess the current – and future – landscapes of 9 countries (including Canada), with respect to care, migration, and employment.
